Version 0.5.0

Download Savanna Time

Free, no account required to track. macOS and Linux are early builds.

Suggested for your device

macOS will say this app is damaged. It isn’t. That message means macOS doesn’t recognise who made the app — not that anything went wrong with your download. Apple sells the certificate that would make the warning go away, and we haven’t bought one yet.

Opening it takes one extra step, and only the first time:

  1. Drag Savanna Time into your Applications folder.
  2. Open the Terminal app — press ⌘ Space, type terminal, press Return. Copy the line below, paste it in, and press Return. xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Savanna Time.app"
  3. Open Savanna Time the way you’d open anything else.

That’s the whole thing. It behaves like any other app from now on, and you won’t have to do this again on this Mac.

Prefer to check the download before you run it? Every release comes with a checksums-macOS.txt file listing what each download should look like, so you can confirm yours arrived intact.

Built for Apple Silicon — the M1 chip and newer. Intel Macs aren’t supported yet.

An account is only needed if you want the dashboard. The tracker itself works signed out and offline.

Already running 0.2.0 or earlier? Install 0.5.0 from this page. Those builds were compiled against our old addresses and will not be offered this update automatically. They keep recording while they wait — your tracked time is stored on your device and uploads once you reinstall.
